Sports: Houston Texans Win 2011 AFC South Division

10-3. Can you believe it? I mean, like,  the Texans are 10-3. Alright, now, not only do they have their best record in its franchise history, but we're finally in the playoffs after 9 years in the NFL. Took awhile, but we got there. lol. Finally. I know alot of dedicated Texan fans are now grinning a big smile on their face right about now, huh?....as they should. I mean, lets face it, fans went through alot of hard times with this team over the years. Late game debacles. Disappointing seasons. Boneheaded mistakes on & off the field. I mean that goes without saying....every NFL team has their issues and whatnot, but its frustrating for us because we know in our hearts, we're better than that.

And I think that's what your seeing this season, us cutting back on our huge mental mistakes that have plagued us over the years and playing with an reinvigorated attitude & energy we've yet to see (at least on a consistent basis). Not to mention having two of the best runningbacks in the NFl in  Ben Tate & Arian Foster and the number 1 rated defense in the NFL helps. Whats even more amazing is that we've done it with significant injuries this season; QB Matt Schaub, WR Andre Johnson, DE/LB Mario Williams. Normally, these injuries would have effected any other team, but in turn, I think they've made the Texans a more strong-minded & determined team.

Now going forward, I'd like for the Texans to of course go all the way. That's right. I'm talking about the Superbowl. I know, I know....wishful thinking on my part right?. Your probably thinkin'....."Hey dude, chill. lol  I know they won the division and everything & that's cool and whatnot. But Superbowl? really bro? "....lol.

Look, can you blame me? I mean, I'm a hometown guy, so, naturally I'd want them to go all the way. Plus, it'd make my dream sports fantasy become halfway true(I'll tell your guys about that later, lol). Yo, but all jokes aside, I think we got a decent shot at it. Granted its our 1st time in the playoffs, but they keep playing defense they way the been playing, running the ball effective, and keep a balanced attack with Yates throwing the football , you never know.

Until then, my proud Texan fans,  keep up the support & spirit and to the NFL Houston Texans, congratulations again on winning the AFC South.

I'm Back: Ya'll missed me?......who cares?...lmao

Whats goin' on ya'll?. I'mmmm Back. Don't say it. I know what you thinking. Why did I wait almost 7 months to give ya'll a post? Hmm, well its quite simple really: I've been busy. lol. With me really just focusing on getting into the military (air force, to be specific), work, more involved with the church, and just all round dealings with life on a daily basis, I didn't have feel the need to post anything. Or maybe I just plain didn't feel like it. I know....i'm confusing, aren't I?...lol. On one hand I'm explaining to you why I've been m.i.a. the last 7 months on my blog while on other hand, I'm also explaining to you that I just didn't want to post anything. Which would make it pretty pointless for this post to be this long in the first place, but since you've already read this far along, guess its too late, now huh?...Its cool. But anyways, I'm back. *crickets* Hmm.Alrighty then. lol. Stay tuned for more posts coming soon. Don't worry, I'm not going  no where this time. Unless I feel like it. lol.

Sports: Dallas Defeats Miami, wins NBA finals 105-95

In what seems so be a surprise comeback sports tale for this generation of NBA greatness, the
Dallas Mavericks pull an upset and defeat the Miami Heat 105-95 in Game 6 at The American Airlines
Areana. Down 2-1 heading into game 4, skeptics and many basketball fans alike were quick to write the Mavericks off. But time & time again, this team has shown an obundance of resilency, determination, and passion like no other team in these playoffs. They came from behind in game 4 to beat the heat and never stopped since. With Dirk Nowitski & Jason Terry leading them, not to mention the Mavericks 3-pt shooting game and bench play, it was a display of sound fundamental and strong team play that helped them take down the big 3 in Miami. Congratulations to the 2011 NBA Champions, The Dallas Mavericks.

My Dream Car: Ford Mustang

I don't know when it began and why it came & never left, but I've always been intrigued by this particular vehicle than any other sports car. Don't get me wrong, I like the Viper, Lambos, Ferrari's, even the Porsche just like any other guy, but the mustang for me is my dream car. Why you might ask?. lol. I simply like the way it looks. The sleek, but firm & strong backside design of the car looks very....how you say...fascinating or inticing to me. Not to mention, I like the way the engine sounds in a mustang. Sounds powerful, like it wants you to get outta the way whenever the engine is reving. lol. idk. It just feels like a vehicle that can handle itself given any circumstance?  you know, like its a sports car, but if need be, could be used in more, terrain-based environments, if it came back to it. Also, its a vehicle the normal "everyday guy" can afford, given he has a overall, steady job, unlike more expensive Lambos and Ferraris. Say what you want, but the Ford Mustang has been a mainstay & building block of the american automobile industry and its creation & innovation would help launch a generation of "pony cars";A blend of  sports/coupe styled design with long hoods & short decks. Cars like the Pontiac Firebad, Chevy Camaro and Dodge Challenger come to mind when "pony car" are discussed. Nevertheless, my mustang holds dear to my heart & one day, when I have everything in order, I hope to claim one as my own.

Sports: Tiki Barber, Former RB for NY Giants, plans to come out of retirement.

While I think that this is commendable for wanting to still give it a go for his competitive ego, his football playing days might be over. Lets face it, runningbacks have the quickest lifespan in the NFL, especially once they hit the proverbial wall at 30. Unless they stay in tip-top shape and come up with ways to not get hurt more often than not, thats when  the hits start taking its toll most experts say. But nonetheless, whatever Tiki's true intentions are, I wish him the best, given he's been out of football for 4 years. We'll see how this'll pan out.

Sports News: Denver Trades Carmelos Anthony to the Knicks in Blockbuster 9 Player Deal

Finally, The Denver Nuggets & Carmelo Anthony have parted ways. Its no secret the two parties haven't been on the same terms the last few years, as the trade talks have now become public over this past NBA season. However the case may be, the Knicks now have 2 superstar players in Anthony & Stoudemire, in what could be a potential 1-2 punch combo in the big apple sports scene. From my  research & understanding, Denver is trading Anthony, along with 4 other teamates; Chauncey Billups, Anthony Carter,Shelden Williams & Renaldo Balkman, all headed to New York While the Knicks part ways with Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks' first-round pick in 2014
& second-round picks in 2012 and 2013 originally acquired from Golden State, along with $3 million in cash. Also, in another deal, the Knicks will send unused Eddy Curry's expiring contract, along with Anthony Randolph and another $3 million, to the Minnesota's Corey Brewer. I, for one, am very interested to see how this will play out. For all parties invovled, I hope everyone got what they wanted as the saying goes, "theirs no going back". Balls in your court.

Album/Mixtape Artwork Appreciation

These covers I like too. They got a lil' eccentic,  Vibrant vibe to deal with them. All have a
different design patterns, different colors(maybe not the Lil Kim one..lol), but they
all follow their own theme in its own way.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day. From Cards, candy, chocolate, roses and what not, this is the day where you see what love is all about. The good, bad, & ugly things about love, how it affects your life, and how to express it variously. Wether you have a valentine or not, we could all stand to learn a thing or to about this thing called love. What it means, how we show it, and how other emotions can cause it. But, nevertheless, these are my thoughts. Anyways, Happy Valentines day to everyone. How you & cupid deal with each other is your business. lol. Later.

Sports: Packers defeat Steelers in Superbowl XLV, 31-25

I watched the game, like millions around the world also. Sparingly though, I was tired from work and was doing other things on the net. Anyways, around halftime, with the Steelers down 21-3, I thought they'd find a way to pull through.I was like, "okay, i'm not gon' trip. They down by 18, but they can still comeback, put points on the board and stop Rodgers. Boy was I wrong. I mean granted they got back into the game in the 3rd quarter. But it was the crucial fumble by Pittsburg RB Mendenhall in the 4th quarter that shifted the vibe to the packers. Big Ben came close with 1:59 left in the 4th, however, the strong-faced "black & yellow" soldiers couldn't pull through. The offense failed to deliver and with the clock whinding down, the packers won the game. 31-25 was the final score.

On a side note, here's the celebratory song. Of course, you know its Lil Waynes remix to Black & Yellow, the appropriately titled, "Green & Yellow". Cover art & song at the bottom. Enjoy.lol

Most Disliked People In Sports: A Look Into The Fans & Athletes 3rd Eye

Like any form of entertainment or industry, their has always been a rank from the unpopular and popular.
People either like you or they don't, that's just the way it is. In sports, this has never been truer. Over the years, in sports, we've had scandals that  many claim affected the way we few are sports figures, from the Barry Bonds steroids saga, to Terrell Owens quirky rants for not getting the ball, to more serious events, like the Michael Vick situation & his dogs, or Tiger Woods and his personal life exposed. Lets not forget about the Pac-Man drama(although he appears to have calmed down..lol) Granted, every one's situation was handled differently then the other and had various outcomes, but nevertheless, the public has grown a sharper eye in evaluating an athlete's moral capacity and personal behavior. I find it interesting how most of the general public hold an athlete to a higher standard of responsibility sometimes, due to them being role models, but in the process, forget that they are regular human beings like us, who if given such duplicity, are to being forgiven, if the public chooses to due so. Any who, I gotten off topic...lol..Below me, is a list of the top 10 most disliked people in the world of sports.  Ranging from owners to players, this list shows how must disgust the general public has for their image, at least in the sports world. Whether we like it or not, athletes are role models. Period, point blank. They have their own reality shows, clothing lines, ad campaign, their on cereal boxes, etc. So, when your child sees your favorite boxer or quarterback get arrested at a strip club or another social event, of course their going to feel let down. Of course, as parents, you already know this. The point I wanted to make is simple: Athletes are human, just like the rest of us. Their not invincible or invulnerable to pain or image distrust. They now have to keep a third eye out  because now they know. They know we're watching...waiting...for them to mess up.. To make that mistake that could potential hurt the careers.....granted, its nothing new, but in the world of technology & social media,  athletes need to make smarter decisions now more than ever.

Top Ten Most Disliked People In Sports
1. Oakland Raiders Owner Al Davis
2. Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Michael Vick
3. Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones
4. PGA Golfer Tiger Woods
5. Tampa Rays Outfielder Manny Ramirez
6. Bengals Wide Receiver Terrell Owens
7. Washington Redskins Defensive End Albert Haynesworth
8. Former MLB Player Mark McGwire
9. NCAA Basketball Analyst Bob Knight
10. Titans Wide Receiver Randy Moss

The WTH Moment of The Day: Employee gets fired for wearing an NFL tie for opposing team...

Browsing through the net, I came upon this interesting story. This made no sense to me. Granted, it does seem
a little weird to wear a Packers tie to your workplace in Chicago, especially where they just beat your city's team in the NFC title game. But even though the car dealership may have a strong relationship with the Bears, it should not have warranted such a strong response from management to have to fire him. Management could have simply handled the matter better; a simple asking him to "take off your tie please" would have sufficed. Now obviously, the employee didn't think management was serious in the matter, not over a tie,  but that obviously wasn't the case. Nevertheless, it seems the two side have moved on, preferably Mr. Stone, as he has appears to be in talks with another dealership to land another salesman positionhttp://chicago.sbnation.com/chicago-bears/2011/1/26/1957114/packers-tie-guy-gets-new-car-salesman-job.That's good. Hopefully, he won't have to endure this kind of disrespect from any future management for a small dress code issue that did not have to come to its distasteful conclusion.
